I know how ya feel - I'm just havin a hard time visualizing it. The only things I can think of is the disc brake clamp-bars being too tight to the disks, or possibly the gear is too large for the case (doubt it).

Have you tried to remove the brake discs completely off the trans case and try to spin it then?

If it makes ya feel any better, my reverse module was the same way; it was locked up for some unknown reason. Turns out one of the gears was sitting tooth-top-to-tooth-top with another.

But if your trans only has the bottom shaft in it, and that's not rotating, the only thing that could be locking it up is the brake setup. Perhaps fit little springs between the brake plates, to push them apart?
I will look into the springs but the space is pretty tight to get something in between them.

I will try to take it apart and re assemble it again... Thanks HB.

No prob - make sure those brake plates are nice and free - I have mine set so theres' a good millimeter on each side of the disc's worth of slack.

If all else fails, toss back a few, and start callin 'er ChristineX.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!! Everything insid was assembled properly BUt the little brass button that actuates the brakes was on incorrectly. It normally sits on the flat portion of the brake cam but it was actuall sitting on opposite side! So the brakes were always on. DUH!.. It spins true now.I am going to install on the X Manaña. Thanks HB for staying with me bro.appreciate the support.

Pics to come!!

No prob Jon - I always marvel at how small things like that can gum up the works...

Just make sure ya get a vid of the thing rippin it up!

so what extra advatnages does the 3 speed tranny have on the 2 speeder? Speed? Torque? just wantin to know if the investment is worth it or not.
