I was wondering how much can i pillage my Nitro Star-25 to make my Wasp work.

1) Can i use glo plugs i bought for my NS-25 in my wasp?

2) can i use my fly wheel and clutch assembly?

I didnt try putting the S-25 cooling head on the Wasp, why would i? I havent tried the mount yet but i think that it will bolt right on.

I really need to know about the cluch assembly, if someone could please let me know. I want to get it up and running, so i need to know if i need to get a new flywheel and clutch.

Just swap all the parts over. Everything will fit. And yes, it just drops in and mounts to the existing engine mount.

Not sure on the cooling head.

I was just curious about the cooling head b/c I have a massive cooling head which fits the S-25. So I wanted to know if it would fit the Wasp, since I am considering scooping one up.

I think the S25 has only 4 head bolts. The Wasp has a standard 6 bolt pattern. So no, it won't work.. But the engine is a bolt in deal.... everything else bolts right on it.

Buy a big clutch bell for it.... You're gonna need it. The biggest you can find. Trust me.

I think that there is a good chance that the Cooling head will not fit. If i remember correctly the Wasp has 6 bolts holding on the head and the S-25 only has 4. I could be wrong as i have only had the engine since last night. The bolts might be in the same position though, so i can't be sure that it wont fit. Ill take a look tonight and post tomorrow.

Does anyone know a what size the bolt holding the flywheel is? i dont have a deep enough socket to get a good measurement on it.

it looks like i was just a minute late on the answer, but at least you got the correct one.

Hey bill is the 18 tooth big enough, or do i need to go bigger still?

Probably. Savage, correct?

Stock height tires? Racing on dirt, or bashing in grass, dirt, ect?

Yea Bill, its a savage with the stock tires for now. I think I'm gonna change to 40 series big joes. I am gonna do some racing at the local track, it has hard dirt. I dont want to do wheelies, but i do want hard launches. I would be willing to change the Clutch Bell if necessary.

Oh yea, i just want to double check that i can use the same glow plug for both engines.

Thanks for you help i appreciate your time.

I use an MC59 in my .26. Good luck keeping the nose on the ground with that engine My MGT geared 18/46 will carry the front wheels all over the place on the big stock tires.

You'll have to drive it..... You can't just lay on the throttle all the way around the track with one of those engines. They make insane low and midrange power.

The 18 tooth would be a good place to start IMO.
