just wonderin what thoughts you guys had on running a nitro rc on the beach, how hard is it on a rigg if you run it on the beach, goin saturday for a week and thought i may take my savage. ANY THOUGHTS??

I don't know how your beach is laid out. But for me i love bringing my revo to the beach. My beach has sandy dunes with short grass and a lot of open space to let her rip. I do try and stay off the actual beach though just because there is typically a lot of people around.

Well, it's gonna be at Myrtle Beach South Carolina, and i know spring break is happening in lots of places, wouldn't want to terrorize the party animals but i would like to enjoy some rc time with my son, i only have him on a limited basis since the divorce and i now live in a different state than he does. So is the sand a big problem to clean out ? i appreciate the advice.

Go for it! zip tie the air filter on is all Id worry about.

No I haven't had any issues like above just watch the filter. And make sure everything is closed up tight like its supposed to be. Gl and have fun

I would give my rig 2 or 3 thin coats of Blaster before taking it to the beach to protect against rust and corrosion. If you want video on the before and after of doing this the go to you tube and search "Squirrel rust provention" and watch that.

ok thanks for the advice guys, i'll let ya know how this turns out and if i end up being sued for running over the spring break crowd. just want to have some fun with my son and enjoy the time together.

Also you might want to blow the sand out of it at the end of the day's running. If you don't have access to a compressor, then canned air will work.

running on sand may put more load on the engine, so watch out for over heating.
