runnin in dirty mudpuddles

On my track i got a couple shallow mud puddles and i was wonderin if this is a good or bad idea to run through with a new engine,i have compressed air to blow it off

I'd be more concerned with the electronics. As long as your air filter is kept clean and secured good, your engine should be fine. Though it isn't the best for the engine to splash water on it.

Personally i would be more worried about the radio and servos more than the engine. The only two ways anything should enter the engine is the fuel line, and the air filter. and i would hope/pray water doesn't enter any one of those two.

Personally when i run my MGT. if the water is a 1/4 way up the height of the tire, i don't have a problem running through it. if it get's to 1/2 or more i avoid it.

You will also get water into the wheel and throw off the balance. Went in the water with mine and a couple days later at high speeds it was shaking more than michael j fox. I know I know, that was wrong.

Just seal the radio and battery box, drill small holes around the center line of the tires and make sure your air filter is clean, oiled and secure. Keep extra bearings handy in case you get grit in one.

I used to do that all the time. Everything was ballooned.

Fortunately, the medication really helped and I don't do it any more.

What medication? We all know that it was just the smell of the fresh wax that "cured" you......
