need to save this so i can check it and ask questions as they arise
my son and i are HELLA excited ( me more than him tbh lol) to enter into this race series.

*The racecourse layout and event format will be discussed in the prerace driver’s meeting. Each participant is required to be present during the prerace driver’s meeting. Any questions can be addressed during this time regarding the event and scoring.
• Drop qualifying and run a random bracket or seed based on points after the first race. • Each participant will qualify their truck(s) on each lane of the racetrack. The best time will be used to seat the truck into the racing bracket. Any truck that does not receive a qualifying time will be given a DNF (Did Not Finish) and be placed into the bracket accordingly. The truck with the fastest qualifying time will get lane choice in eliminations.
• Once a racer has “staged” his/her truck at the starting line, the other racer has one minute to stage their truck.
• A five-minute grace period will be allotted only if the racer encounters a problem at the starting line. Each racer will be allowed to receive only 1, five-minute grace period per race.
• If the truck moves across the staging plane before the green light is illuminated, this will result in a false start. This is an automatic DQ, and the other racer will advance automatically to the next round
• Trucks are required to come into contact with obstacles (i.e. crush cars, jumps, or corn box) with the FRONT TWO tires of their truck. In races including corn boxes, your truck must stay in the box for three quarters of the boxes length. Track Marshaling is not allowed. If your vehicle flips over and can’t be saved by its own power your run is done.
• The truck may not hit or come into contact with any part of the timing system or its barricades during the run. If this happens, it will result in a DQ. (when in use)
• When trucks are competing and both completes an illegal run, a re-run will take place with trucks changing lanes. If only one truck makes an illegal run the opposing truck will be granted the win only by a legal pass.
• In the event that all four tires go into the opposing lane, the truck will be disqualified. If only two tires cross, and you are able to recover, you are safe. If a driver runs into the opposing lane and makes contact with or inhibits forward motion of the opposing truck in any way, it will result in a DQ.
• In the event that a racer with multiple entries in the same class should have to race themselves, each truck will run one timed lap on the track in separate lanes. The truck that records the fastest lap time will advance to the next round.
• In the event that a winning competitor cannot make it back for the FINAL round of racing, the competitor they beat will be inserted back into the bracket.

I’m of no help, just dropping in to follow along 😄

This is gonna be fun to watch! What y’all gonna run?
hopefully i can get a king sling, still havent secured one yet, christmas for my son was priority, but tax season babay gonna just buy a new stock kingsling for sure, i loved watching it rip around
Ugh. Rules. Who follows those 😅😬🫠🤣

You making a monster jam track?
yeah gotta have somewhere to practice, i think the area to the side of my house will be sufficient so i wont even have to drive over to the course (crawler course is 10 mile drive to get to that property :( )

I saw nothing about running a 1:1 injected 5.3L Chevy engine on your monster truck...
Just something to think about...
Good luck!!! 👍😎
As long as it's 10mph. Unsure if it could do that at idle. 🤣

Name for 5.3 monster truck....... times ticking. 🤣

5.3s are known tickers. Mine has a dead 7 cylinder and cracked block. I estimated it as a 4.7l now. Still power brakes though. 🤣

My 5.3 is the aluminum block. Not ticking so far... (well, the clock IS ticking for sure but...)
If I ever finish this truck, it'll be fun! 👍
I'd love to put a 6 or 8 spd in it too tho! 😎😍

I want an 05 flare bed with a manual. I have an 05 steel block. My pops has a 2019 aluminum block I believe. It too is having issues like a valve rattle and an occasional tick.

If it's anything like the mustang 8 speed it should be viscous.

With all these rules is there a scale cop car waiting in the corner to pull you over? 😁😆🫠🙃
lol i think you just made the theme of my truck lol, The Criminal
i like tht ill be able to run more than one class with the same truck with just a few minor fast swaps

I'd love to run my Summit on a course like that, but it isn't allowed by those rules.

Have you bought your truck yet?
negative, not till after christmas, hopefully before tax time, I've been looking at a few sliders on ebay, but by the time i got the motor and wheels I'm basically spending the same as a new one, also I'm pretty set on wanting a king sling specifically, then after that I'm wanting to get a few sliders for other classes, ideally one for each. but my crawlers are all looking at me with anger in their lights like, "hey bro what about us!!??"

well forgot to hit post, have an update anyhow
download (2).webp
its on the wayish

need another set of wheels for seperate class, swapping the body out first, i really dont care for it, but it has a longer wheelbase than the hog, so i got it, i gotta look around for a body that strikes my fancy, and i habitually replace the shocks and servo asap, is gonna be weird not doing that for once, i have to keep it in the class brackets.
