RS4 RTR3 Evo part problem

Hey guys...thanks in advance for helping me out this this problem.

I have had a white 16 tooth gear apparantly come out of my car and have no clue where it goes. I have looked at all of the exploded views and diagrams and just at a loss. I can't get a very good picture of it because it is so small and my camera will not focus.
I bought this car used for next to nothing and it appears to be in good shape, It could be that this part didnt even come from the car.

Does it have the rotostart backplate?It may have come out of that assembly..maybe.

Hey thanks for the reply. Yes it does....it appears to be intact, but I will check that.
