RC Driving Style
Well I was doing some up and down the street at full speed and go back runs until I let my cousin drive it..... he hit the curb then when I started to drive it the exaust sounded louder, I kept going thinking it was kinda cool then something fell off it was the part that connects the exaust to the engine the metal part, I managed to screw it back then just try to start it and let it run idle it was loud still now I dont wanna drive it around and have something worse happen, A piece of small cardboard like material came off that was outlined I think to prevent air leaks, so I screwed it in tight, can it still be loud because theres an airleak? or something wrong with the engine and I have to rebuld it. I have a rs4 3 rtr anda .15 engine

The piece that came off that looked like cardboard was mostlikely the exaust gasket.Did you put a new one in or did you put the old one in ??Or did you just screw the exaust header back to the engine block ?

Spyder this will happen to you frequently if you don't check the tightness of screws once in a while on our car. Just go to your LHS and get a new Exhaust gasket. If that is the one that came on the car it is crap anyways. This to happened to me although I had hit no curb at all. I even thread locked the screws. I honestly just think it is the nature of the nitro scene

ya I took the exaust gasket off because half of it broke i gotta buy a new one tommorrow i heard you can make your own useing gasket paper? can i?

If you do that you will also need some gasgacinch or some sort of Sealer. I think it would be cheeper to buy the ones from HPI as they are better than the stock plastic one and it comes with like six of them.
