That's what I'm wondering too Boogie. The bumper looks quite shiny, so I assumed it was aluminum or metal, and then I forgot it was RPM and wasn't sure.

This is not aluminum, its just the color option the offer. Whats nice about this is if you want to race you can remove the bumper, than when your ready to bash just put the bumper back on.

Yup thats right, they are made of plastic.

Thats my next bumper. I was thinking about the integy, but I'm worried about taking a hard hit and bending the metal, which could cause damage to other parts

definitely go RPM in IMO.
I have had no luck with aluminum. Espacially if the bumper has aluminum brackets too like on a tmaxx or revo. If I were to use the integy bumper it would be with stock plastic mounts to take and absorb a hit.
