I finally got a crawler (Creeper) and it's awesome but the stock tires suck in most situations. I was looking at the Pro-line Chisels and the Hot Bodies Rovers but I don't know which one I should get. Which one would be the best for all around terrain (wet-dry-mud etc)? Also, would they fit on the stock Venom Creeper Crawler Rims? I don't feel like buying new rims and I doubt I'm going to be using/needing the stock tires so if its possible for the rims to work then thats what I'll use.

Thanks

Go with white dot Rovers. Yes they will fit. Get them from here though. Half the price. Only thing you wont like most likely, is the foams being to short. If you want memory foams, alot of people like these. I dont but I'm sure they will work good for you.

All you need to make sure of is that they are the correct rim size which I believe is a 2.2 in rim. I run the Chisels in a G8 (soft) compound on My Mini Rock Crawler, but a lot of the more serious crawlers are using the Rovers on their rigs.

Rovers it is then. I'll try to order them tonight.
Thanks

Yeah, I went to a rock crawling event yesterday and just about everybody there was using the Rovers.
Now I have the Chisles on my CR-01 and they seem to work great for me but I don't use my truck for competition.

Great decision, The Rovers are by far the most commonly used tire as a upgrade over stock tires, and that is for one simple reason, THEY WORK. I don't think there is better all around tire out there, the Sedonas and the Leopards are close and might even work better in some situations, but all around performance I think the white dot rovers are the best choice IMO.....

And if SNG is recommending them, they have to be good, because he has I think tried just about every crawler tire known to man, LOL!!!!:hehe: I would have to say he has tire and wheel fetish, LOL!!!!:hehe::p::D

Haha
At this point I think anything is better than the stock tires. If they get wet or mud gets in the treads they are complete crap.

Thanks again guys.

Just ordered them, hopefully they won't take almost 2 weeks to get here like at Amain.

Ya rovers are great, I had the rover ex but they seemed to loose there traction quick i have no idea why, but the white dots are great

If you ordered them from RPP, most likely they will ship tomorrow and be there in a couple days. They dont mess around.

At Amain the cheapest shipping is usually in the $10 area, at Rpp it was in the $20's so it better be faster.

Can't wait to get them lol

Got the rovers yesterday, and what a difference; they're awesome. But I'm thinking I should get some other type of foam, these ones are very short. I was looking online and I'm thinking either the Team Losi 2.2 Memory foams, or the Pro-Line 2.2 over sized memory foams. Any advice?

I would also steer away from the memory foams, they are way to tempeture sensitive IMO, if you run a narrower wheel and not a lot of weight the stock foams work good or at least they are for me in the front wheels, I have a rover foam with a extra half a rover foam wrapped around the outside of it in the rear tires to make them a little firmer

Id get those or the other ones you linked before, but I don't really want to spend 30 bucks on foam. I'll most likely get the over sized pro lines then.
Are there any other cheap alternatives to memory foam?

Cheaper yes, Panther f400's are cheap, and big, but alot of people dont like how stiff they are, but you can trim them if needed, they are all I run mostly. They are not memory.

Alright thanks. I'll get those instead and cut them if I need to.
How do you have them SNG? Did you cut them?

At the moment on my bully, wich is at 5.11 pounds, with leapards but on a .75" wide rim, I have them with a 1/4 shaved off the sides.
