Round 2 of the British Championship Hot Bodies Lightning 2 scores big!

A good controlled drive by Jamie Booth brought home an excellent come back win for the ex-British Rallycross Champion. Jamie made the most of Kevin Moore's pit crew errors to take round two of the BRCA 1:8 Off Road Championship using the Hot Bodies Lightning Pro 2.

David Crompton (Crono RS01), Jon Hazelwood (Kyosho MP7.5), Jamie Booth and Kevin Moore (Thunder Tiger EB4), battled it out during qualifying. Crompton took the first two rounds with Moore taking the third. Two second round places for Hazelwood secured second position on the grid.

The front two for the A final, David and Jon, looked quicker from the off than the rest of the field, but first Jon dropped back with a faulty servo and then David's Crono lost drive when a suspension pin got disconnected from a rear wishbone. This was a rare failure for the Crono team and David is now under serious pressure in the championship as he will miss the next round to go to the Euros warm up in Italy.

Kevin was now leading from a trio of Stewart Wilcox (Mugen), Jamie Booth and Mark Stitson (Mugen). Jamie managed to break free of the group and then led briefly as the last fuel stops took place. Mark Stitson, who had bumped up from the B final had the opportunity of keeping up with Jamie mid race, but was forced to make an extra fuel stop, which put paid to his chances of hanging on for the rest of the 30-minute race.
