Hello everyone i just started having problems with my savage x 4.6 not wanting to start....it will start but the roto start has been continuously kicking out.....i tried to start it today with fully charged batteries on everything but the rotostart would sometimes turn a few cranks and then stop and not want to crank the engine anymore.....never had this problem before it just came out of nowhere i called my hobby shop and they said it might be hydrolocked so i turned it upside down and cranked the engine with no plug in and some fuel came out but i dont know if it was a normal amount or if it was too much.....any answers would be greatly appreciatedd so that i can hopefully get it going for the weekend. sorry for the book

i had the same problem what i did was bought a pull start "which imo is way better than the roto start" but i think it was more of too much power on the "one way bearing" but buying the pullstart solved my problem it can cost you around $20.00 which isn't bad at all hope this helps :)

Your one way bearing is probably just dirty. Blast it clean with nitro cleaner or denatured alcohol. If your engine is new, crack the glow plug loose until it starts. Then tighten it back up asap. Heating the engine with a hairdryer helps immensely as well.

matt is right on the money with the hair dryer that has saved me many starting issues.
