Ronald Regan Died today

He was a great president, a great leader and had more influence on policy and public opinion than any other. So I see one flaw in his presidency, and that is that he failed to use his influence to prevent the big budget deficits and growing national debt. He should have forced through some kind of balaced budget law and made it a new tradition. Instead we are still piling up the national debt to this day.

But he was still one of the greatest presidents, and forcing the end of the soviet uniion was a great accomplishment.

Actually I thought the day Reagan died was quite funny as I was on a trip up to Lake Castaic and someone mentioned that Reagan was a great president and I went on to rip Reagan and Reagonics a new one. I spent about 45 minutes ripping into every argument everyone in my family put forth and once I had put all the little ladies to rest the radio informed of his passing. My cousin said "Just because you have more education than us does not mean you are right about Reagan." I let him know that is correct and Reagan was a piss poor president for a great number of reasons which had nothing to do with my level of education. I just love it when people resort to ad hominem attacks when it least supports their argument.
