My Maxx is wayy to easy to roll over. What is a good way to prevent this? I've read about sway bars and stuff and was wondering how well this would help me out. I've also seen that some people have made there own. Can anyone give me some pointers? But yeah if anyone knows why its so rollover happy, please lemme know. Thanks

What tires are you running and what A Arms?

What weight shock oil?

What shocks?

What is the position of your shocks? Upper and lower?

What springs?

And last but not least, what are you driving on when this happens?

You forgot one question Chris:

Why is this in the nitro Engine Section?

40 series tires and some sway bars should help you out I would think. Wider is better.

I am talking about my older style Tmaxx. Everythings bone stock on it. Stock wheels, stock A-Arms, Tires...the works. Where and how does a Sway bar bolt on?

what about limiting straps(zip-ties). using zip-ties on the a-arms attaches to the shock tower. the more u tighten them the less suspension travel u will have, but u should loose the rolling. cuz that a-arms are closer to being level with the ground.

It just flipps when I turn. The front sqwats and leans way down and it flips. I'm not talkin turns while wide open, but at a normal speed.

sway bars wont make a huge improvment i suggest so RPM arms on it 40 series wheels with offset rims and some heavier springs and oil

sounds like the suspension is soft. maby some heavier shock oil would help. using the limiting straps would help also, less travel.

Well, I know I'm a rookie at all this but it seems pretty simple to me. You need to increase your spring rate. Either by adjusting your shock positions, adding preload, or just hoppin it up with some beefier springs (probably one of the cheapest and most significant hop ups). Caster is another important factor here. If your Maxx is runnin too much negative caster the front tires will bite much quicker and much harder, putting a lot of weight on the front outside tire during a turn (great for drifting though). Basically this can go on and on because so many things factor into handling.

You need the 2.5 widetrack suspension,My origanal MAXX does just like yours, the newer MAXX will actually spin around rather than flip.

How does a person add heavy oil in the shocks? I've never really even look at them. I definatly need some heavier springs too.

you need to unscrew the top empty out the old oil and put some heavier weight in and make sure you bleed them. Theres a few threads on bleeding shocks around here do a search

You have to take the shocks apart, clean out the old oil and replace with some heavier oil. I think the 2.5 maxx came with 30weight in them, but I'm not sure about the old maxx. As for springs. Try running 2 trinity black and 2 stock (one of each on each arm), this will stiffen it up some but not too much.

When I was running the eight shock setup on my 2.5 maxx, I ran 4 trinity black on the rear, two on the front and 2 stock (2.5 stock) orange/red (kind of color blind, not sure if it's orange or red) on the front. This helped handling quite a bit. Having the 4 black on the rear helped against hard bottoming out off a jump.

Get some offset rims. That will increase the width of the truck and make it much tougher to roll.
