Yes very correct. You spend a good amount but if you are looking for prtoctection then that exceeds the costs in my book. simple roll cage can ensure a longerday of running with respect to the other parts working in good order!
I didn't find that I needed a roll cage on the maxx. NewEra's 3 point roll bar was sufficient. I would have bought the same for my savage, but my custom batterypack is in the way, so I went with an RC-Raven roll cage that sucks. It bends easily, but it does protect some things and help make the rear of the body last longer.
I will totally agree with the 3-point roll bar. It is pretty good protection, but if your budget can afford to go with the RC solutions roll cage, do it!
i have a sportmaxx made into a tmaxx and i was thinking about gettinr a rollcage and i thought about it for a while i i figured out that i can make my own for about $2.00 so i tryed it and oit works perfect and you can do it all by your self no second hand people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have one, bought it for $20 from another member at what used to be our local track, picked it up for the bling factor. It looks real nice, but does add a fair amount of weight. If your a racer I would say dont do it, but for bashing its great.
I have the RC raven roll cage. It does a great job to protect your truck, but it weighs it down considerably. I took it off to loose the weight. I would go with the 3 point rollbar if i bought another. Everyone who i have talked to has had only good things to say about it.
Yeah, the 3-point roll bar is totally awesome. It doesn't weigh very much at all, it protects a hell of a lot more than without it, and it adds nice looks. i have it... no complaints!
