Sticky rat traps cut and fold it’s better than double sided sticky tape.

The ones I saw were used to inspect the cables on suspension bridges.
Exactly.

It is radio controlled so that the inspector can stop it, reverse it, etc. I do not own it, but I designed the electronics for the sensors, data processing, and transmitting to the inspector on the ground. I do not know if I am allowed to tell you about the radio control part, but you might recognize the transmitter if you saw it.

Also have models for guy wires on broadcast towers. And another that is moved by the inspector, NOT r.c., for use on the tendons inside concrete bridges.
