Hey guys I just wanted some quick inputs or thoughts. I just purchased a brand new REVO Platinum off my buddy that needed some cash (at a steal I might add) and was wandering what the best radio system for this truck is. I am fairly new to this and just wanted to make sure I don't buy a system that is more than what I really need. Thanks for the help.

Any good FM system would work just fine. JR makes some great ones... the XR2 and XS3 are really good systems and very affordable. The great thing about these radios is that they are synthesized, which means you do not have changes crystals when you need to change your Freq.

How much money you looking to spend?

Before you buy a radio make sure you hold a Spektrum DX3R in your hand.I got one and I love it.Everyone that has the Futaba and others that has came by to say hello on race day picks it up and says the same thing,WOW this thing is light and really comfortable.I have a DX3 ($150.00)and it works great but the 3R is so fast and easy to navigate. You don't have to worry about frequecy conflicts either and thats a must on race day.

I was thinking of the DX3R, but it looks pretty sophistcated. Oh well, you only learn if you start messing with it. Is there anything else I need to get this Platinum running? I already have the starter box, glow plug igniter, batteries, charger, fuel, etc. Thanks for the help.
