Hi All
I'm shopping for my first Nitro Truck. It's use will be just general bashing around, not really thinking of racing it. Prolly end up scale modeling it a bit. Any suggestions on my base platform? Revo or Savage?

i would have to say the revo. its such a great truck. only since i have one. but the savage is "well known" as the ultimate bashing truck. either or, your definetly in the right direction going with these trucks. but if your a straight basher, the savage would probably be better for you

If you are just straight bashing go with the Savage, but I don't how much you could do to scale either one of these trucks, niether one was really built for that....

I have owned both, you can't go wrong either way. The Savage looks more like a true truck though with the chassis/shock layout compared to a Revo. The Savage is more durable and a bit slower than a Revo.

I'm definately a newbie with a savage - I'm beating it up pretty damn good and it seems to be holding nicely - the odd repair :). I'm already thinking about my next truck in the fall - The Revo 3.3 looks very cool.

My 2 Cents

i would go with a savage, they are well known for their bashing, and i havent gotten mine running top notch yet, but i can tell its going to be very durable once i get the bugs worked out...the revo was made for racing, as the savage was built mainly with bashing in mind...

either one you will have tons of fun with it
they are both durable
but yeah, like said above, savage was mainly built for bashing
