  1. Bashing
I am new to RC Bashing but have a fair amount of mechanical knowledge. My revo 3.3 2.4 runs fine. I seem to have lost my throttle. It turns fine and goes in and out of reverse fine. I have reprogrammed the Optidrive which didn't help. I have fresh batteries in the transmitter and the receiver battery is peak charged.

I started the engine, set the truck down and hit the throttle. The truck took off for a second, then no throttle response.

I am new to this forum and am soo glad I found you guys. I am hoping there is someone out there that has had experience with this problem. The truck is less than a year old and is a ton of fun but somewhat of a money pit.

Any help with this problem is appreciated.

See ya,

I was having a similar problem a couple of months ago.

It ended up being a bad throttle servo. Even thought it worked fine when it was off, it would pulse when I started it.

You can test if this is it by pulling a steering servo and putting in the throttle spot

Thanks Raiden 101. I will give it a try and let you know

Or, to make sure, you can plug the throttle servo into the steering port on the reciever to check the servo. If the servo doesn't move, it's bad. Then plug a steering servo into the throttle port then move the throttle. If the steering servo moves, then the receiver is good.

If the servo is bad, I'd recommend a stronger than stock servo for t/b duties. A stronger servo will last longer due to the heavy braking demands of an MT.

Thanks, Guys. I think I have enough info to troubleshoot this problem thoroughly.

See ya,
