I'm trying to find the steering links length for the longer links for the Revo extended chassis. My original 2.5 is 31.08mm, the manual for the 3.3 Revo shows 41.08. The longer links for this chassis cannot screw short enough and reach the servos. If my math is correct, the new chassis is 30mm longer as are the links give or take. Wouldn't 61.08 be a close estimate adjustment? Just trying to square up my steering from he start. I got good travel to the left with center spring back, not so much to the right. It's like it's struggling with no center return. I'm fine replacing the servos if i need to if one is bad, I just want to make sure everything is setup to start with.
Picture is one i found from an older post that I cannot reply to because of the age, only reason I'm starting a new post about this. Thanks in advance for any help

Nobody has any info?
I have a revo 3.3, but it doesn't use those links you have on your truck in the pic. When I get home later tonight, I can add some photos of my setup. I'm running one servo as it's better for the servos to run one, because in stock form, the servos are fighting each other and will eventually die.

That would be awesome, I just found a video on YouTube showing how to do this. Haven't watched yet, do you have the extended chassis? Is the extended chassis what is being used on the new current models?

Yes, I am running the 30mm extended chassis. It comes stock on the new ones.

What's the linkage length on yours? I just doubled checked today with ones adjusted to the 41.08, not even close to landing on the servos.

What upgraded servos would anyone suggest going to? Water proof options 2075 2056, 2065a, 2056

I would recommend a completely different brand for servos. Stay away from Traxxas servos as they are very overpriced and garbage. If you took out the steering servos and flipped them around so that the spline is facing the front of the truck, you would probably fix your issues. Also, I'd recommend going to 1 servo for steering as with the 2, if you don't set them up properly, (It's VERY hard to do so), you will kill servos non-stop.

I can't flip, the cables will not reach the receiver.
I'm fine going aftermarket for my servos, what are some better aftermarket servos

Servos are based on wallet size to some extent.
I only have 1 "nice" servo. Its a Reefs 500.
It was recommended as a great servo for an MT priject I was working on. Project never happened. So far I have zero hours on it.
Its overkill for my Optima Mid but is installed anyways. 🤣

I don't know much about upgrading the revo with dual servos either. You can see mine is still stock. 🤷‍♀️

I will suggest a few tips here...
Buy a servo with replaceable metal gears.
Watch the words... water resistant vs water PROOF!!! Be careful, buy waterPROOF imo.
Get one from a reputable conpany. Customer service is nice to have if you need it.

Do you know Jennysrc.com?
They are fantastic! Cheap, great quality, great customer service on brand name take-off parts. Look here for good deals on ALL your stock stuff first! If its out of stock, use the 'notify me when back in stock'. They will take a car apart to fullfil your order if they have in stock, so it seems. 😉
IF you are stuck going Traxxas, mine are 2075's.
I would avoid stock also but $$$ for nice aftermarket units.

Def make a post or 3 before you buy.

Sometimes another member has bought 'that' servo and knows a trick or had a bad time or a cheaper version that works... 😎

Its easier than regret after the purchase. 👍

That's how I landed my new sleeve and piston for my Jato for $50, someone posted the exact same issue i was having, he initially bought the set for his 2.5, they sent set for 3.3. He did the power up option, I got a great deal.
My problem is I've been out of this for so long I don't know the good or bad manufacturers to look at.. I grew up witj cox and testers RCs.

We are all at a disadvantage right now. I would imagine suppliers shifting will change lots of things pretty soon.

Nitro Pro, Reefs, Ecopower are all names I hear a lot.

I'm also pretty out of the loop. 🤷‍♀️
I look for specs, mostly torque and speed within my desired voltage range.
Metal gears, ball bearings, metal case are all things I like too.

I definitely agree with ball bearings, and metal gears. I'm only running my backyard and the street out front. Still I'm trying to build my Jato engine bullet proof as much as I can. Not racing, no intentions of doing any competition running. I'm lucky if I can go in a straight line more than 2 feet. Lol

You laugh now, 1st time I tried to run one of these four wheel rockets down the street someone called the RC drunk squad on me, I hit everything but the street, where is the come back home button on these things? Lmao

The 3.3 Jato is suppised to do 70mph.
I think it might be close.
Rocket fast, NO steering!!! 🤣
I didn't have the steering stability receiver and remote for it either, didn't help that the front end was jacked. One wheel was looking up at the sky pointing to the north pole the other was looking down at China pointed to Japan. The back end was just lost. Lmao

Mine came factory, right from the box, new... no steering. 🤷‍♀️ I think the front tires are there
To keep the bumper from getting scratched when it stops. 🤣

All of mine I've had to literally bring back from the dead, probably why they look like Frankenstein walking going down the burm, can't hit the street lol
