I just made a dumb mistake. I had my Lipo flipped over and plugged in the plugs wrong.
When I plugged into the ESC it fried the plugs.
I’m leaving it alone for a while, but two questions.
Do you think the ESC is fried? I’m afraid to plug back in.

Second, does that destroy the Lipo? It wa fully charged. It’s looks fine, but I’m not sure what I should do. Thanks everyone

I did this once with my XL5 brushed esc. It was on accident, but I didn't care as I was getting a brushless combo anyways.
The lipo is fine.
The esc is prob fried.
You can always plug it in and see. It wont hurt, i would think.
When you plugged it in the wrong way, did you see any smoke? (The magic blue smoke)
If so, its fried. If not, it could be fried, it might not.
I wish I went with the XR10 Pro G2 for my buggy. That has reverse polarity detection. My uncle had a XR10 Pro a while back, fried it a couple weeks later. :(

I'm sure the ESC cooked. Semiconductors and reverse polarity don't play nice, especially with big amps.

Battery is probably OK if you got it disconnected quick enough. Discharge is discharge, but a dead short builds the heat very fast, and that's what kills them, both smoking external contacts between cells and burning within the cells.

I had to walk away for a few hours because I was so annoyed at myself.
I just plugged back in and everything works somehow despite the blue smoke. Maybe this Esc has a reverse polarity detector?

Contact HW Support, explain what you did and see if your ESC offers polarity protection, some of the newer ESC's have a replacement capacitor module if you reverse the polarity on those ESC's. If not, they will likely offer a deep discount to replace the ESC:
