ok , i just decieded to bust out the old duratrax max st , it has the torq .16. it will not run more trhan 2 or 3 seconds , it has all new carb parts (new carb) they are set to the factory settings, and the motor was rebuilt and has maybe an hour on it at most. it will only start if i prim it till i see the fuel in the carb itself. then it will only run for a few seconds, I'm thinking its burning whats in the carb then just cutting out because of a lack of fuel. it has new plug also and yeas my glow ignitor is charged.please help i really wanna bust that old beater out and show up the punk down the street with his "ST-15" lol.
PLease help:help:

This should get you going in the right direction...

Fuel
Air
Compression
Combustion

All of these things must be in effect to start. So lets check them out.

Fuel: Can you see the fuel going from the line into the carb?

Air: Is the carb opening, is the airfilter clean?

Compression: Is there compression? If it is a new engine you should be ok. You can check it by manually turning the flywheel with your thumb, it should be almost impossible to do.

Combustion: Have you checked the glow plug on the igniter while it is out of the car, and made sure it glows bright?

If all these things check out than it can only be one thing: You need to adjust the mixture of the fuel and air.

Or you may have a massive air leak. Use sensor safe silicone around the neck of the carb and on the engines back plate.

Take the carb off and put a little bead of silicone around the neck and put it back on. Making sure you have pressure holding it down while you tighten the carb bolt.

For the backplate, do the same thing. Take it off, put a light layer of silicone around the rim where the backplate connects to the engine block. Put it back together and let it cure 24 hours.

Also, check for a hole in your fuel lines. If in doubt, replace them. Check for a crack in your fuel tank too.
