we are just changing ideas, maybe, only maybe we can get something much better. a cheaper one or an expessive one, the bottom line is the good for the nitro engine , that's all.

I agree with you @lesclaypool. Buying a simple bottle of Hobbico ARO will last a very long time and will be and is a perfect fit for the need.

Others have used MMO directly with great results, other products I'm sure might work but I still can't understand the reason as to why - what we already have works perfect and is designed for this.

@avelciario - I've never heard of your HHS-2000 being used, but it says in it's description that it's an adhesive lubricant. Pictures online of this stuff shows it to be incredibly sticky / thick. I'm not about to put adhesive in my engines, but more power to you.

For me I'll stick with walking into my LHS and asking for "after run oil please", paying, and being happy...

Well, I have Sirio, OS, SH, and Picco engines. I thought most engines had silicone gaskets, but maybe it's some other material. I still use ARO, but only for long term storage.
I have yet to notice any leaks or problems with any of my 7 different engines, but Woodie you're making me nervous. I guess I'll get another bottle of the ARO and forget the WD-40.
To be honest, I prefer to idle my engines dry by pinching the line or flipping the trucks upside down, then restart them until they won't fire anymore. If it's only gonna be a couple days, I skip the wd and oil all together.

I agree WD40 is not a good replacement for ARO. Not only becauseof the above mentioned reasons but i found that it tended to shorten glowplug life. I used to use it all the time and was replacing glowplugs every few tanks. Once I quit using it I found my glowplugs lasted a lot longer.
