Hey guys, anyone know how i can make my LED lights turn on and off with the remote using the third channel. Thanks in advance.

I did that, all I get is power on all the time, I would like to turn it on and off using the the third Chanel, I can't figure it out.

That's what I needed to know, I know that the rx is putting out constant power but I needed to know what I need to switch it on and off thanks SchrodeMode.
Phins fan thanks for trying brother. I always appreciate you help.

Should be the 3rd channel or 4th depending if you have more than one switch. Make sure your plugging it into the RX right also.

I have roof lights operated from my Tx. are you still looking. this is my old 6v bike light, before changing to normal roof lights

I've already explained how this is done along with other members. If your Tx has a 3 position switch with at least THREE channels minus the battery plugin on your Rx, you can take the wires from the light and plug it into the Rx according to what channel the 3pos switch is paired with.

If you have no 3pos switch, buy a Tx with the switch or have someone mod it into a 3pos Tx...

other than that, your shlit outta luck...

You can also gu buy a 2pos micro switch from Radio Shack, and rig up the switch to the lights then place the switch somewhere on your rig...

you need a switch (or an old servo board would do, It will work same way).Just need to find outputs.
switch i used
and a spare channel on Rx and a simple on-off switch on Tx to operate that channel. and leds of course.
ok that is whats is needed. Now for wiring.
Reciever has three pins
+6V, always on when Rx powered.
+0.3V signal this will maybe vary with each reciever but will be small voltage.
And ground.

Plugging leds into +6v and ground will power lights when reciever is powered(Not controled via Tx).

Plugging into signal and ground wont work simply because of the low voltage.

A signal from the Tx operates the signal wire which closes an electronic gate that lets the +6v pass through and out to operate something and ground just passes through and out.

So if you plug straight into Rx it's always on when Rx powered. If it goes through a switch or the outputs of a servo then its Tx operated. If you have a switch to operate that channel on Tx.
Hope this helps a little, took me a while to get switch to work as it came with no instructions then realised after I did it, the instructions is the page that was on the internet.

They plug into reciever, Y harness off ch1 and ch2. The led plug into the control box. I have the 3racing set up, used as the main lights. I thought it was on the previous vid. But heres what they look like with the motor unplugged incase it runs off.
