Is this a good truck just for bashing and running around in the park?? I never heard of it before and i was just wondering.

Ya i figured they were cheap for a reason. Just bad construction?? Or bad motors or just not reliable?

Replacement parts are hard to get and there are very few upgrade parts available.

i agree on parts being not ez to get but these redcats on this vid take a beating. i wouldn't drive any of mine off the cliff...they say that you can get parts from their dis. in fl. so don't know i might order 1 the earthquake nitro for $260 and check it out .and if i can't get parts then i've got engine....ect. for new project.. just my thoughts.

They are cheap because their quality is cheap. Get something from a good reputable company that will last you longer, and have great aftermarket support. Stay away from redcrap racing. With all the good brands out there, (losi, HPI, traxxas, ofna) you can find something to fit you, and actually be happy with it.

Extreme, Why do you keep stirring the pot dude? You say that you arent gonna post here anymore, then turn around and try to start another pissing contest....... Give it a rest, if you dont wanna post here, dont, if you do dont be such a DA and try and stir up trouble. Why would he want to spend 260 on a truck and run it a few times and have to turn around and buy another, its smart spending, yea they cost more, but why not buy something you can actually get parts for??

Heres a fantastic example of how a kit can be somewhat durable and yet a total cheap POS at the same time. The Redcat Caldera SC-10E.

Like its been said, not the best rig to go with. Parts availability is low as well as upgrades, legitimate upgrades that is and they dont seem to hold up well anyways.
That does not mean that ALL of their stuff sucks, there are a couple buggies out now from them that get excellent reviews and seem to have a good supply of parts available for them.
I wont condemn all cheap rigs, I own and have owned a few off brand cheapies that hold up as well if not better than others out there.

That is true SNG...Their Twister, I think it is, getting decent reviews and I imagine they have a couple others as well so it is possible to get a decent kit from redcat but most of them arent so I guess I would just say buyer beware.

I had to build one of their crawlers up for a buddy, one of the biggest jokes in designs I've seen. Was a true Fail.
