Unfortunately i will say i dislike Redcat and refuse to touch their products.. but i will support my claim..
2. Their customer service is the worst! EVERYTIME i ordered parts from theor website, it would take about a month for the order to be processed and then another 3 weeks to ship. iw ould call many times and my order "was accidently misplaced"
3. The vehicle was terrible. The dogbones on my vehicle would break almost every run. i took it to my LHS and had them look at it and even install a couple sets but the redcat parts would snap like tooth picks. Customer service insisted it was a bad batch (all 5 replacements) and took another month to get me my replacements.
I have never waited more then a week for a parts order from Redcat.
I also have never broken any dog bones. It could have been a bad batch, it happens. I don't know when you had your Redcat but I have heard that in the last year or so, their quality has improved alot.
ok ill admit the motor and carb runs like a champ but everything else is crap. i already needed to replace the front a arm, the diff gear and one of the geers that goes next to the clutch bell. as well as minor stuff breaking here and there. its just a pos and i dont care if u guys like it or not i was trying to save future rc hobbiest from buyng a pos like me and waisting there money
wow.. interesting. so now i have a REAL problem. I'm not sure what i should do with all 4 of my redcats.. beings that they are junk and all.
good to hear.. bet the kid is gona have a blast. way to go dad!!, but we all know they arent the best. i meen, its no traxxas or hpi and it sure aint no ofna. but we deal with the little quirks. the end resoult is if you can get a redcat(or 4) to run great and be reliable(wich isnt hard) then you just might be a pretty damn good rc'er next to the novice who pulls a revo out of the box and plays in the backyard. this thread has already proven its point to many others. there not the best, but redcat is coming along pretty good considering were they were in 05'. and they have the customer service to boot.I guess my 3 Redcats should go in the trash according to this guy. NOT!!!
I will be out with my Redcats bashing with my son tomorrow!
the end resoult is if you can get a redcat(or 4)

ok sorry about posting my opinion. from all your post i can see how i could be wrong on this subject. i would like to apoligise to everyone offended and will kep my opinions to myself in the future.
.I checked out redcats web site last night. redcatracing.com. There stuff looks pretty nice and they have a line of brushless rigs with 3300kv motors. I couldn't find out too much more about them, like how many cells the esc is rated for or what kind of guts are in the trannys. If you like the redcats you have now, I see no problem in going back to them. Their short coarse trucks are really nice looking and looks to be well built.
