Since I am still a noob to crawlers I thought I would post this and see what the experts say about this:

To me it seems to be lacking braking to hold it back going downhill...

all I'm gonna say is definatly not....wheels dont even match lol, and its a Redcat...I'm guessing its a super since it has 4 wheel steering. it lacks any kind of smoothness too, imo. the electronics suck to obviously, they keep throwing it in reverse when they are going down hill....

I can see looking at something new and original but i would stick with either a axial, venom, the new losi when it comes out or a berg...or even the kyosho.

I wasn't going to EVEN consider BUYING one (for one you guys would NEVER let me live it down), I just saw it and thought you fellas would get a kick outta it. I really want the Losi (when it comes out) but will most likely end up with the Axial AX10 or ARTR...

yeah, id make fun of you lol...the losi will be a good one to get, but so is the axial or the venom or the berg kit...the kyosho is cool, i liked mine alot but its more of a rock racer than a crawler.

Funny you mention the Venom crawler--I have looked at it more than once. Any drawbacks to the Venom--other than the body isn't comp legal?

The brand name would be the biggest RED FLAG, RED CAT:whhooo: and yes there is no doubt we would make fun of you:p: and never let you forget about it, LOL!!!!!!:D:hehe: One other option you might think about if you have any plans to compete would be to start with custom chassis like a SWX which comes with upper and lower links, add some Axial axles and tranny, your choice of tires and wheels, ect., if you become anything like the rest of us the only thing left from your ARTR will be the axles and tranny any way, LOL!!! then you could do your own custom build thread:D

no there are not any real draw backs with the venom except that there isnt a billion after market vendors for parts for them...if i were going to buy a brand new crawler right this second, it would be the venom or the berg kit...

Thanks Lloyd! I always value your opinion.

Curtis: I probably will never share the total sickness that you now have--just a mild case of "I wanna play too"!

"But it's a sickness that can be cured with just a few more new parts" LOL!!!!! and I hate to say it, but once you get a touch of the bug it quickly turns into a full blown case of the sickness us crawler guys have, LOL!!:D:hehe::p: So be careful or you will catch it too..
