Reciver Question?

I am tring to fin out if I can use a extra or externial battery for my crawler,I run a NOVAK Super Rooster,a Traxxas TQ3 radio.I would like to know can I run a battery pack with the ESC with out fring the reciver or ESC.Any kind of info will help.

What do you mean an extra battery. Do you mean a pack connected to the reciever?

I think he wants to run a hump pack to power the reciever and servos. I have heard of this being done, but I do not know how it needs to be done.
