Hey dudes...I tore my Fore .26 apart the other day to clean it out and lube it up. I have everything together and all, looks brand new. I have two questions reguarding the head/top plate. Before I put the plate on, it is to my understanding that I'm supposed to put a small bead of silicone around the case thing. Is this true? The second is when I put the the cooling head on, should I threadlock the bolts? Is it safe to do so?

Just some minor, newbie questions.

Thanks,
Todd

Don't put rtv on the head, make sure you have the shims that were on the head, and put them back on. I don't threadlock the head bolts, I never had a problem with them comming out.

You want to put rtv at the base of the carb, and on the backplate, nowhere else.

Very little rtv.
Thought I should say that since you are new. Some people want to gob in on. A little bit will do.
