Well last summer I beat the hell out of my Slash, and pretty much left it like that for a few weeks. Then tore it all down and cleaned every single part on it so that it looked brand new. Also bought a bearing kit and a screw kit to replace both bearing/screws when I rebuilt it. Well I finished the front end like last August, and when school started again I didnt touch it, or even have time to come on here. So this past weekend I decided I wanted to finish rebuilding it, and get back on here. I started tearing down the rear end yesterday and cleaning it, and also went and picked up some new parts. But I forgot a few things, so I'm gonna have to go back either tomorrow or thursday haha. Here's some pictures of the progress as of now, I want to try and finish it by this weekend. I will keep this thread updated with pics this week.

The last picture is how the rear-end sits right now. Need to pick up a few things to finish it off and get the truck running... Stay tuned!

Looking good, love to see slash 4x4 builds.

Nice!

I just rebuilt mine using the low CG chassis. Waiting on a Proline Tundra body to finish it off.

Awesome quad, some broken pos is blocking some of the pictures...Okay i was just kidding that looks great keep it up. I'll be watching. :)

Ok so over the weekend I went and bought a few things I needed so I can get the truck in running condition. However, these damn 12mm hexes always give me trouble snapping onto the tiny little pin. Does anybody have an easy way to get it to snap on? My fingers are killing me from trying, and the pliers keep scratching the hex haha.

I usually line them up, put the wheel on and start tightening down on the wheel nut. Keep an eye on the pin to make sure that it hasn't slid out of place.

Ok, finally got some free time this week to get some more stuff done on the slash. I picked up some more things, and finally got the rear assembly together and mounted to the chassis. Tomorrow I'm going back to my LHS to pick up a new motor mount, as I have no clue where the heck the stock one is. And maybe some other stuff. I will be racing this truck this year, so I might upgrade to the LCG chassis before I get everything mounted on the stock chassis I have right now. Heres some pics, more to come tomorrow.

Well I got some more done on the truck today. I picked up a few new parts and got the truck like 95% assembled. Here's some pics, she will definitely be done early this week.

Finally got around to do some more work on the truck and completed it too! I picked up a few last parts I needed, and put it all together. Had work all day today, but tomorrow I plan on going over to the LHS and running around the track for a while. More pictures to come tomorrow, as well as video from the track!

Finally got to race the truck today, ended up coming in last for the main because I lost a screw which caused my right rear wheel to fall off, but I had a lot of fun. I forgot to bring the go-pro but I'm gonna try to get some video this week.

Yea I do like the look of the black wheels with the red body, I actually bought those tires and wheels today because my calibers werent hooking up well, so I bought a set of tazers. They hook up to the hardpacked track much better.

Get some thread lock on all your screws and go bring home some trophy's.

It wasn't metal to metal, it was the screw connecting the tie rod to the shock tower. Once I lost that the wheel was able to kind of flop around and caused the driveshaft to pop off. But I finished the race on 3wd!
