So finally got to run my savage flux again yesterday, and I'm still amazed with it but I keep havin one issue. The right rear axle hub carrier (my guess at what its called) has a little ear that sticks off of it where the tie rod connects. The issue is I've broken the thing off three times now in small roll overs, plus the first time it broke off it was just from doin a wheelie down the back yard. Is this a typical issue, or is it possible somethins not lined up right causin it to sheer off? The trucks been bulletproof and had no problems other than a grub screw backed out (common) and that same side breaking that tab off. Should I just go aluminum for them or is there some kind of brace I can add? Thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% sure if the flux carriers are compatible with normal savage carriers, but new era makes a little brace that connects the front ear to the rear ear to help support it:

If they aren't compatible, then I'm sure you could make something out of light gauge steel to do the same thing.

Okay so I just said f it and got the integy aluminum rear hub carriers as they eliminate the tie rod completely, and its the only alum. piece my lhs carrys for those hubs. Any reviews on them, and should I look forward to bending them or are they fairly stable? I kno integy gets bad reviews but has a handful of decent parts so just wonderin how they'll hold up. If its somethin where I should get a different piece, can someone recommend a better aluminum hub carrier? Thanks

The Integy rear carriers are one thing they got right. You wont be disappointed with them. I have had them on my savage for 3 years now with no issues.

That's good to hear, but I did have two issues wonderin if you had the same.

1. I ran it today with them for the first time and the lower pin in the right rear one sheered off inside the hub carrier. It was jammed in there too, I had to take a hammer and nail to it to get it out. The most surprisin part is I didn't run it hard. I hit one small jump then spent the rest of the time runnin wheelies and donuts. Literally five minutes into runnin it I brought it back to me and it was snapped, whole back half missin. The pins just weak, or did I mebbe hit somethin wrong?

2. Its got three adjustment holes to mount the upper a arm to. The only one I can mount it to tho is the innermost one, because the axle has to be mashed into the hub to be able to mount the screw causing binding in the middle hole. Then the outermost I can't even do unless the axles out completely. This isn't too big a deal but with the innermost hole I have a lot of positive camber (I believe its called, the upper part of the tire is out further than the bottom edge which means when I turn I'm rididn on the outer sidewall.)

Anyone ever run into this, or is it possible I gotta set where the holes were drilled improperly?
