Nope it doesn't,we looked into it,some guy stoped by yesterday when we were hotwiring the car and he want's to buy it for parts for some unknown reason,the police officer said we would be getting restitution on the car,so that would be the cars total value since he totalled it,but restitution could take years or longer.but we should get something outta it.

That's really odd the homeowner's insurance won't cover it. I know there's a lot of people who have parked their cars at or near their driveway, and had their car broken into, and the homeowner's insurance covered it.

Anyhoo, if it were a bunch of crackheads, there won't be any restitution. You can't take their money if they don't have any to begin with. Cut your loss and move on.

Also, even if you were to get restitution after selling the car, i'd only be the amount it'd take to buy another car that's in the same condition as the totalled, minus the money made after selling it.

some money is better than none,and there ass will keep going to jail until they pay it,WA State law,my parent's aren't to worried about the restitution the car had almost 290,000 miles on it,it was due to die soon anyways.

Well the courts/law isn't gonna jail them until they pay restitution. That wouldn't even be possible. There's no way to get any kind of income while in jail...

The thieves will get a few months in prison if any jail time at all. And that's assuming the state decides to go through with all the hastle of court proceedings.

One of the guys got a felony,so he will be in there for awhile,and he got attempted car theft,so they should be in there for awhile.
