I'm getting to where I really look forward to the onroads every week. As long as someone sets it up, I will prolly always be here ready to go.

Speaking of setting up.....

I need to create the last 8 races for the winter season.

7.184 is the fastest lap I could get on my first speedway run.

At 85% grip,I'm going to have to tinker a little with my car this week. It's been nice so far to just load and go with set-ups I already have. I ran a few practice laps last night,7.0 was the best with an average of 7.3-7.4.

Got the oval run in, not great but not bad either....Still using the same set up as the first four races!

I DNF'd my first boss speed. I cut that last corner/curver before the finish, almost every time and have to reset. Upped my speedway by 10 laps though.

My radio really messes up between the finish line and the farther left side curve. I bet I could run pretty consistant 20's if It didnt mess up so bad. Oh well, got a run it just incase I dont chance another.

Having a lot of fun tinkering with setup. I don't know how some of you guys go from one racetrack to the next on the same setup. I think I've learned a little something about engine setup and how it affects my driving style. Kinda cool.

I didnt really change anything last year, other than a couple things like top to mid and such but this year after Rob helped me a bit, I've been messing with my setups almost every time. Its sweet to see how just a very little change will completly change the way you drive.

I'm having a lot more difficulties at Boss than I expected. I had a very good feel for this track the last time I raced it but 90% is somewhat slick. I just figured out how worthless practicing without AI cars is. I could run consistant 19s but as soon as other cars are on track I don't have the same consistancy. I think it's the noise from the others cars that makes it more difficult to hear mine. Fatique started to play a role for me in my run as well toward the end. I think that is my single biggest problem during long races.

I share the fatigue issue with long races and VRC that I don't have when racing 1/2 hour mains with 5th scale.

My eyes start to go buggy which is probably due to the fact I wear contacts. Staring at the screen makes me forget to blink sometimes. Same thing happens while playing XBox. When I realize it's happening I blink, but since the contacts are dry they move and I can't see jack on the screen until they fall back into place. I would just wear glasses while using VRC if I had any. LOL

Then there is the issue with my transmitter hand going numb.

My problem is my wrist of the hand that holds the transmitter. I have a habit of allowing my my wrist to drop rather than my wrist being inline with my forearm. This seems like a much more reliable way for me to race because the Tx is not prone to small movement since my wrist is somewhat locked in place. The downside is that my wrist becomes quite sore after a while. I've realized that I cannot run a long race directly after I've done some practice. It's just too hard on my wrist and the discomfort has a dramatic affect on my racing. For a long time I've been wanting to make a wrist brace glove similar to what bowlers sometimes wear. I bet they would sell like hotcakes in the racing scene.

Here's what I'm talking about...

I hold my tx forward like your first pic and tilted to the side (right) for my antenna to stay out of my vision. Its unconfortable and doesn't feel very "natural".

Yeah, I don't intently hold it like that but it just kind of happens. I wonder if this would be an issue if I was standing instead of sitting down????

I have RLS, yay me, so on the long ones I'm wiggling all over the place about half way through lol, sucks. But watering eyes is the biggest problem. I remember when I started VRC, Rob said to remember to blink, lol. I usually take my glasses off half way through too or it gets worse. Prolly since you have to watch so closely apposed to a video game where you can kinda watch a bigger area of action rather than focusing on one moving point.

There is enough for the 3 of us.

You guys whine an awful lot considering you'll never have to be in last place with me racing. :)

Put my first run in on Speedway.

Not sure what's going on, but twice I got the notice that VRC wasn't receiving a signal from my controller. I had to click RETRY and off I went again.

Aside the from that and a handful of tangles with the AI's, the run wasn't bad considering the only practice I did was the 3 laps you get before the race actually starts. LOL

I'm going to make a full practice run to make sure I don't have any more problems with my controller before I run again.
