It shouldn't.

Mine is on at all times 2 feet from where I sit to race. My son is online with the XBox 360 which uses the wireless network a lot of the times I am racing.

Mine is the same, except it's the wife on the laptop and no problems with interference.

The problem with them is the physical design. There is not enough support between the USB port and the pc board. The outside plastic housing doesn't get it done. Since there is little support the leads from the port break their soldered connection to the board. You have to look very closely to see connection is broken. They just require a quick touch with a soldering iron. This is why the wiggling seems to work. The small movements simply reconnect the leads temporarily. Product has been out for years, you'd think they'd have fixed it by now.

Never thought that info would be so useful. Today I was switching some USB stuff around, and my keyboard lights (VRC adapter is plugged into the keyboard) started flickering, and I was getting error messages about the device. Pulled it apart, and sure as can be, the tabs were off. All fixed now, thanks!

I'm still working on a setup. If I could just see consistant 6.9s I'd be happy. Every here and there I get a 6.8 but not many. I'm still a 7.0 guy. I think my time is in my tranny and powerplant choices...

Pissed away my oval runs trying something different. Instead of making a tire change, I attempted to make on the fly trim changes. Works great, but getting it changed during the race is challenging. I crashed on many occasions while trying to find the trim with my right fore finger. Doing it during the pits works, but defeats the purpose of on the fly changes. I think I am going to move my steering trim to the thumb wheel and give that a try. I can keep the throttle mashed while moving my thumb without a problem.

I'm gonna go run my third and see if I can get passed your 140 mark lol, will be a good day for me even if you had trouble. :hehe:

Rob and his damn trim adjustment! I bombed bad lol. Had so many more 6.9's and 6.8's than I ever have but I messed up bad the rest of the time.

I've tried that too Rob but I've never found much success. It seems itneeds so much adjustment that its easier to just make the stop. I dunno

I went into my last Oslo run thinking I could atleast step in front of Josh, but my first pit my car did that damn vanishing crap and led to a 60 sec lap....didnt help my situation. Pete has it over me by 8 seconds. So I tried like crazy to get the fast lap (unless Rob takes it from Randy) but couldnt drop under 16.0, could find any where to make up time.

I have had just about enough of issues with VRC.

First run on speedway my car vanished and never returned.

1st run on Oslo was fine and since I was so close to taking over the lead I went ahead and ran again. Second run the car had a mind of it's own about 2 minutes in. I ended up quitting since I wasn't controlling anything. 3rd run went OK up until the end. It never let me finish the race. I was coming off the straight, turned left, got the notice to finish the lap I was on, turned right and that was it. It just froze and the next thing I know it was recording my incomplete run. Basically, it just didn't record my last lap which would have given me 47. Still in 2nd either way so whatever.

I'm going to stick to it for the winter season. The wheel enables me to make big adjustments as opposed to the button.

Hopefully I can gain the muscle memory doing it now since I don't really care about the season as opposed to trying in the 2011 Championship.

Then again the 2011 Championship will only have 1 trip to Speedway at most.

There will be a separate Speedway season like there is now though that does not count towards the Championship, but I will be offering another GC with the same requirements as the current season.

Nice job Pete on all the fastest laps on speedway so far.

My fastest official lap on Speedway is 6.692.

Normally my fastest is in the 6.8's. I try and stay between 6.9 and 7.1.

Randy can get down in the high 6.5's on occasion.

Grip level is too low for 6.5s. I'm not really trying for the fast laps since it's only a 1/2 point. I'm just going straight for the win! :D

Too late for the winter but for 2011 season, why not make the GC award just participation based? Make it so everyone that competes in all the races will be entered in a drawing for the award. That way even if they can't win the race, there is still some motive to run and have a chance at the GC.

I will take in under advisement. LOL

That is actually a good idea Randy and I think I will do that.

Right now there is only 3 of us (really only 2 since I won't be winning my own GC) and I was hoping for more.

At this point you will have to boot a run and DNF in order to loose the GC. Lloyd just needs to show up to each race and pray to the VRC gods for it to happen.

I'm liking how the fast lap is being spread around for the Winter season. Guys are getting closer on the on-road tracks.
