RCTalk VRC Race Club (VRCT)

Starting at Noon PST today I have started a test at Boss Speed in order to see if you guys can race in it.

Chime in after it starts and let me know.

Club shows that 5 of us have it. I'm guessing that the 5 are myself, Lloyd, Randy, Pete and Josh.

I'm going to be pissed if I have to switch the race up. I have already spent all weekend practicing on Messina and really like the layout of the track.

No response from VRC on our issue yet.

I see the boss speed test in the club (can see Messina too) but when I go online to run it still shows that our club doesn't have an event for this week.

Boss Speed will start in a little over 10 minutes. Go online then and let me know if you can access it.

I seem to be the only one who can go online and see Messina for whatever reason. I think it's because I was forced to buy the 3 track pack and got Messina with one of the credits.

I liked practicing on Messina. It is one the best tracks I have used on VRC.

If I don't hear back from VRC by this evening, I will be making the switch.

Wish I knew what the problem is.

This weeks track has been changed to Boss Speed and will start at 5:30 PST today.

End time remains the same.

Just out of curiosity,what kind of lap times were you running at Messina Rob?

I was running 30's on keyboard

I was averaging in the 18's with a few spurts down in the high 17's. Fast lap was 17.166.

I found a broken rx in a pile of rc crap, slapped it in place of my other one and bam, my adapter works again! Too bad I just spend $20 on a new one......

That's right up there with me spending $25 on a 3 track credit pack to get Messina which only I can use online. LOL

Boss Speed does not flow well IMO.

Probably because I was used the Messina which was like butter.

RCNitroTalk VRC Racing News​

Round 12 : Sydney​

This week things start to get mixed up a bit as the series heads down-under to Sydney. Again,the winning streak is cut off at 2 in a row for Racer 1966 as robmob takes control of this race.

robmob had the entire field covered this week as Racer 1966 struggled to get up to speed. At the finish robmob takes an easy 3 lap victory over second place Racer 1966.

It looked like it would be a 3-way race for second but then the troubles came. slowngreen had a good run going but fell back at the end handing second to Racer 1966. SMaxxin was also in the mix but late race troubles ends his run with another DNF, leaving slowngreen alone to take the 3rd place finish. Meanwhile NCNitro made the start just to gain some points but the DNF from SMaxxin hands him 4th pace. How's that for twisting things around?!

In the points,robmob stays in second but the win and fast lap bonus cuts the lead of Racer 1966 down to 1. slowngreen moves to a 6 point advantage over SMaxxin and NCNitro is another 3 behind SMaxxin. It appears that abadk9420,darkslayor24 and Lessen are out for the season.

The next race is a short sprint on the oval. This could make for an exciting race, be there!

Round 13 : R/C Speedway​

WOW! What a race and what an upset in the winner's circle this week! As expected the short race format proved to be a really tight race. The rookies prevail and take the the top 2 positions as SMaxxin gets his first VRC victory and NCNitro right behind him scores the second place finish.

At the start NCNitro takes the early lead but is quickly overtaken by the faster Racer 1966. Steady consistency proves to be better than speed as Racer suffers the consequence of speed - the need for a pit stop. After allowing everyone to get around him while trying to pit,Racer 1966 can only catch up to slowngreen,but not far behind the leaders. Steady and consistent,SMAxxin takes the win by a full lap. robmob and NCNitro were right there waiting for a slip,but it wasn't to be. NCNitro gets the better of robmob and takes a second place finish dropping robmob to 3rd and knocking Racer 1966 completely off the podium this week in 4th. slowngreen trailed by another lap in 5th. It was a fight though as 2nd through 4th were only separated by 4 1/2 seconds!

In the points,Racer 1966 barely maintains a 1 point lead over robmob thanks to the fast lap bonus. The win puts SMaxxin only 1 point out of third held by slowngreen and NCNitro still holds on to 5th but only 6points back from 3rd. Only three races to go,1st and 2nd will be decided between Racer 1966 and robmob but 3rd is still a 3-way fight between NCNItro,slowngreen and SMaxxin.

Next race is back to a road course. This time it's Cincinnati. What will happen there? I can't wait to find out!

OK guys.

VRC still hasn't responded, but I did some digging on other forums and found an answer to the Messina problem.

Quite simply....VRC does not recognize that you actually "own" the track. Don't know why this is since you must own it if you can practice on it.

One of you should send a note to VRC telling them that you own the Messina track but can't seem to race on it online and see what they say.

Man that place sucks! Way to picky on where it sends you off course and you have to marshal.
