Slayer, you gotta get mentally prepared man. You need to be comfortable to be fast. Relax. Don't overdrive. Slow down to speed up. If you're not racing to win then race to be consistant.

x2. It gets frustrating for all of us.....its a game so its bound to get that way. But its when you start trying to hard that it all starts going down hill fast.

Just took over second place on the Speedway, probably won't last, LOL!!!! and I was like a 10th of a second from turning another lap, Damn pit stops and couple of bad laps killed me, other then that I was pretty consistent.

I haven't practiced either. Only takes a few minutes to get up to speed on Speedway though.

Looks like Lloyd got the first run in! I have to ask, why did you make back to back pits?

Oooh kiddie bumpers, maybe I'll give it a go, lol

Sweet!

I can quote a post from the future and post in in the present that will be placed before posts in the past that are showing up as being in the future. LMAO!

He enjoyed the first one so much he decided to go back around and come back for more. LOL

The refueling spot on Ft. Meyers sucks. You have to sucked up against the wall or you are screwed.

Awesome run Randy.

Had the site not been down you may have been able to smack talk me into trying to match your run. LOL

Thanks,Had the site not been down,I would've tried :) I even e-mailed Lloyd and told him I was bummed because I couldn't get on to talk some smack after that run.

You guys sure you want me in the oval series this winter? :p:

The best part is that on my first that I DNF'd I had solid 6.8-7.1 laps for 2/3's of the race. Not one bobble. Not one AI tangle. All I had to to was make that last pit stop. I promptly over shot the refuel spot and in my haste to take off and come back around I exited the pit right in front of an AI which punted me off the track. No biggy. I had my hand on the space bar as soon as I got hit. Got set back on the track and came around only to run out of fuel coming around the banked turn. Coasted to a stop at the entry to the pit and promptly slammed the ESC key. LOL

I came so close to aborting that good run too! LOL I came in the pits for the first stop,no problem. Then leaving I slighty tagged the inside wall and wrecked. Marshalled onto the track and spun out on the big end on the next lap. Just about threw in the towel there.

Or maybe not, LOL!!!! I might take a look just to see what it looks like, but racing on the computer with a controller VS. real life are two completely different things IMO or at least that is how it feels to me.:\

Awesome run Randy.

I didn't even bother trying to match it and was content to stumble my way to 2nd and call it good.

Funny the results of Race 10 are a virtual carbon copy of Race 7.

Curtis and Joe, you guys should really give Ft. Meyers a try this week. No grass and there are basically barriers on both sides all around the track. It's as close to racing with bumpers as you can get!. LOL

ft myers, AHHH what a wonderfull racetrack. i will see if i have time this week to do a run or two in. i hope it goes better than last week.

speedway for me: i wasn't having a good day and tried to run a run anyways (poor choice) i got frustrated and dnf'd and of course i was dumb enough to do it again not even 5 minuts later. so i had one run left. i was busy all week so i didnt get a chance to do it. i was staying at my friends house the final night of the race so i grabed my VRC stuff and did some practice while there, with 2 hours before the end of the race i tried to do my final run...his computer wouldnt let me connect to the online part of VRC...so unfortunately i didnt even get a single run in :[ :third_place:(i wish)

I find that with Speedway I am either in the groove and can be on autopilot or I am struggling. There seems to be no middle ground. The last 2 trips to Speedway I have struggled and limped my way to 2nd place. Pretty sure it's due to the fact I don't practice Speedway very much before running.

Pits there suck! Ima get some practice in on just the pits before running again, as long as I can get a normal pit then I should be able to gain back a few laps.....dont count your chickens yet Pete :D

dont count your chickens yet Pete :D

I ran that with a slow engine, my next run will be with a faster engine and the lap count will go up and the fast lap time will drop!

BTW, my worst lap going through the pits is 30, my best is 21.....Better get a lot of practice!
