Season is now officially half over.

The difference between 1st and 2nd is a single fast lap.

LOL

The race for 1st and 3rd is pretty tight.

I suspect that one of you guys will get 2nd or even 1st before this season is over in one of these races. When that happens, it will shake things up a bit.

Any changes you guys would like to see for the Winter Series?

I want to keep this fun for all so everybody will want to race.

Couple of changes I will float out there to get your opinions...

1. 1/2 Point for the fastest pit stop similar to fastest lap we have now. Fastest Lap will stay as well.
2. Best of 3 runs will count instead of last run counts like we use now.

I vent a little but I do have fun, even when I suck...I'm in for the winter season with or without changes.....but I like the best out of three runs!

Best of 3 would be great imo. A .5 point for fastest pit would be cool as long is it was limited, so that the person with the fastest lap didnt get it as well. I would like to see less Speedway's than we have this series. Maybe run it twice max then run a different track every time so no one ever has a total advantage....

I think best of three sucks. It takes away any strategy, now everyone will just run three. With the current format you beter know you can do better or you risk losing positions, which imo is better, and more fair especially to us newbs who have not been racing for three years already.

Then how bout three ovals, then one road course, kind of opposite of what we do now, I would like that much better! :hehe:

Good point, I didnt really think it through lol....

On any bonus points, I personally dont like how the winner has the chance to get the extra point, they are already getting all the points for the win, so I think the bonus should be for the guys that suck. Like have the bonus point/s for 3 place and back.;)

Joe has pointed out the problem with a best of 3 format. Personally I would only put down 1 run and wait for someone to beat it regardless of what format we use.

Strategy wise, the current format has worked out the best.

The oval was intended to be an equalizer in the current series. So far it has not. We will see how the second half of the season goes.

After looking at the latest race results, I am dropping the fast pit bonus idea. A couple of you guys didn't even pit! LOL

Well being as I suck on pretty much any of the tracks it really does not matter to me what tracks you use or how you set it up, I don't ever plan on finishing the series in the top 3, LOL!!!!

You would still be in the hunt for third place if you didn't skip the last 2 road courses.

San Paulo is the worst track for me so far, I can't finish a 5 minute practice without getting aggravated much less ab 18 minute race...I can't even stay on the track with a slow car!

I really wish you wouldnt skip races bro, your not any worse than me and you are way better at the oval. I dont care that I'm not winning races, theres still always a battle at the back for not getting last wich is enough of a battle for me.

Same here man! hit a wall and 9 outta 10 times I gotta hit the space bar to get out of it so I'm cranking 30 and 40 second laps!

wow, after hearing the latest resaults i might just be in the hunt lol. and i thought i was doing bad running low 20's the first half and high 20's the second half lol...the only 40 second lap i did was the lap i pitted...i finished off with 41 laps

I'm going to do alot of offline practice for this one.

One thing really nice about San Paulo is the pit entrance location. If you happen to be too hot coming around the Start/Finish line and go wide, you can shoot down pit lane and come out the other end without loosing time. LOL

I have not raced on San Paulo since last summer. I was all over the place for my first 5 minutes of practice. As soon as I memorized the markers where I need to slow down for the turns it all started to come together. For me the toughest parts is that little dippity do in the center of the track. Hit it right and I can coast through it without much steering input. Hit it wrong and I and over steering to stay on the track.

Practice and memorize this track before running.
