Not to get any one to give away their setup but is there one particular car setup on there already that works best for starters? I've been trying the Kyosho sedan but I have to slow way down, way slower than the other racers to make any turns.

Ok thanks Joe, guess it comes down to tuning.

I just run the Mugen because it's the only one with a Green body :)

Whatever you pick - you're going to have to tune it for you. You can also check the VRC website, sometimes there are some setups that others have posted. Maybe you can find something that will be close for you.

What message does it give you when you try to open it?

it wont let me unlock luximburg......

It did the same thing to me....Thats when I uploaded the newer version from the vrc site. I founded it on my game screen but you can probably find it on the vrc site as well.

Do you find out before hand what track you have to race so you can practice offline or what?

You guys need to hold my hand with this lol.

Go to the same page where you sent your request to join the rcnt club, you should see the current events and under those you should see future events

Looks like next week were running speedway again and then Fort myers

So Sydney and Speedway are events that are going on right now? Do I need to race them before their ending time? Or wait for the one that opens on the 17th?

You don't need to race in them, but should to get in the habit and for the experience. Right now we are only running practice races every week until the season starts. It's nice to lay down some time though so you can see how you stack up to the competition. Practicing off-line is vastly different to actually participating in an event. Everything seems to feel different. The AI's, track grip and even your mindset seems to change.

When the season starts, there will only be one race per week.

Since Speedway is visited the most in the season, I chose to have a Speedway practice race along with a random road course running every week leading up to the season.

Speaking of the season.....here is the tentative race track schedule.

  1. Speedway
  2. Kakegawa
  3. Lux
  4. Speedway
  5. Fiorano
  6. Oslo
  7. Speedway
  8. Heemstede
  9. San Paulo
  10. Speedway
  11. Fort Myers
  12. Sydney
  13. Speedway
  14. Cinci 02
  15. Messina
  16. Speedway

Grips and durations will vary. I can tell you that the season finale at Speedway will test your endurance.

One thing to keep in mind is that although you get 3 tries at each event, only your last good try is what counts. Not the best of the 3 attempts. This brings a little race strategy to the table. Can you or can you not better your last attempt?

One piece of advice to all racers. Always finish the race you started and log a time. If you hit esc and end your race early, you will log a DNF and if it's your final run, that is what you will keep. DNF = 0 points

Testing.....

Ok I'll prolly try running one of them later to see how it works. Do you have to run all three on the same day or just before the ending time?

You don't have to run 3 at once.

I ran one of the sydney, damn its hard! lol. When it was time to get fuel I couldnt figure out what to do then I ran out and it took me along time to see it flashing "push spacebar" in the bottom corner, lol.

Case and point. I should have stayed with my second run, I had one more lap, and better lap times. But since I was hacked worse than ever tonight, I thought maybe, just maybe, if I got a clean run in I could do better, nope, hacked again, punted off the track twice, and I just could not get out of traffic on my final run, I hate these damn ai cars, lol. I am glad it's just practice. :hehe:

This was my best lap of all three tries...

0:06.652 - fastest lap

So what is Rob saying? If you kick ass on your first attempt, you can stop then and not do the other two?

Yep, if you don't think you can do better, stop. If you run again and do worse, the last run is the run that counts. I lost a lap by running one more time, when I should have stopped after my second run.

Well I'm only at 26 laps on speedway with one more to do so I'm gonna definatly run it lol. I hate them other cars!!!!

doesn't sound like you need the adapter lol.
