Wow, pulling out the big gun.........literally!

I, now, feel so inadequate with my tiny, little spray can 😒

😁
The truck is looking amazing. The chassis is nice and classy. How do you keep the body from flying in the paint booth? 🤣

Think how I feel with my tiny airbrush. Atleast its blue. But your can has the intimidating rattle.

A painter friend paints it for me, I couldn't tell you how he holds it hehehe

I agree. I can't afford that. I do my own stunts, soldering, painting, gluing, porting, and building. Maybe thats why I never win. 🤔🤣

Normally I also do everything , but this time I preferred a good job for the grandfather model hehehehehe . Here you see some photos of an aged Hilux that I have made for a friend while I wait for mine , to be made with remains of Hilux that was at home, there has been a body that can be used hehehehe

The candies arrive, there are still a few packages missing to finish with the wheels that will lead to the end:

The quality of the screws and the aluminum and its machining are excellent, but with the price they have and seeing the rest of the manufacturers, putting plastic rims seems like a poopy thing to me, it happens to me like with the Vanquish rims KIT. At 1000€ they could really put aluminum...

Second color in progress, nothing to do with what you see in the photo, it's a three-coat and until the varnish is done you will not see the authentic color ... if someone knows the paint 1 /1 , it will know what color it is...hehehe

It's going to have to repeat the painting, it has many flaws and the dark gray should be gray not blue, but in September the painter is going on vacation, so I'll take advantage of August for the last adjustments to the wheel arches at the expense that they reach me the slw185 hexagons of locked-up:

Your painter friend did that?

You look like you do good work. I would invest in an airbrush setup. You can make a spray booth out of a cardboard box with a fan and filter media in the back.

And tell the painter to invest in vinyl striping tape. It works so much better.

I use vinyl tape and I do not have those problems , but not only the tape ... the faults in the colors , heat bubbles ... not even the color of the gray is as it should .... in September I will repeat it , also with less stress than the month of July the truth, and seeing results, I still ask only in red...

With an airbrush and others I have already painted and it comes out better than this, but the result of the varnish will never be the same, neither bright nor hard ... from experience ...

The detail on the beater is fantastic. The dents and rust are really good.
