Well I caught the indoor carpet racing bug and I went out a bought an 18T. I will eventually turn this into an 18B with a kit I picked up from Lessen.

This bugger are quick and very fun to drive. I spent a bit of coin and added the Reedy mini mod 19T and the 1400 race pack as well as some bling. =devil

Here are some pics. More when I get the mod done.

The wet look is from some WD40 I sprayed on the new steering linkage to give it some pay. I will need to clean that up before I hit the carpet again...;)

Thanks for looking..

Looks nice!!Did you add the MIP universals? May I suggest getting the FT Turnbuckle set or a Titanium TB set? Will give you some more tuning options with Caster and Toe. Looking Good. My 18B will be very similar but with the Blue stuff.

I did not get the MIP universals yet......but they are coming....I was going to do the Lundsford turnbuckles.

This little guys are very fun for those of you on the fence.

My next indoor project will be brush less.........not sure which one I will do......but the 18R looks like a nice candidate...;)

cool little truck ain't it? I see you've already drilled out the ball cups for easier access to the diffs, nice

I never got a chance to get to the post office last week with the body so I just shipped it from work. It's UPS so it's gonna take a bit longer all the way to OR but I refunded your $5 shipping cost since it didn't come out of my pocket.

Ooh, very nice, Talon! You might want to consider ditching those stock connectors; Deans Micro 2R's work pretty nice for the RC18's. I have 'em on mine.

You're gonna love that RC18; I use mine indoors, but it has a habit of suckin up pet hair better than a Hoover. Every three or four passes, I have to take the wheels off and clean out the hairs.

No problem...thanks fro the refund.....nice thing is with an extra five bucks you can actually buy something for this truck...;)

It will be neat when I get the lid and parts ...but for now I am having a blast.

Yep Deans are this week...I am now learning ALL of the neat stuff about electric...so any suggestions are welcome.

Bought a super brain charger to replace my old Dyno Prophet from years back.

You're gonna love it, since it won't mean the wife wanting to put a choke hold on you for firing the nitros up indoors, heh. I will warn ya; if you have dogs, they'll think its' a toy.

You may want to look into improving the steering system. Mine drifts during a full speed run.

You can't see it in the pics....but I added the GH aluminum servo saver and Ackerman arm assemble.

BIG difference in the steering.

Keep doing the add-ons. I'm already over a grand in the Savage.
This is NOT a hobby. It is a sick addiction for which there is no cure....fortunately.

If I havent told anyone yet, NOW IS TIME! Dont ship UPS. I work there, and unless you pack it good, I mean really good chances are it will break. We throw, I mean huck packages 40 feet at times. So be warned lol!

Talon that is a sweet little rig right there. Beings the idea of me geting a baja is dead, I'm saving up to redue or build another rc18. I'm going to put a wide travle kit on it that my local hobby shop has that is pretty bitchen looking. Along with a mamba 8000 or what ever the biggest is.

Bryson

Bryson, I like to use UPS due to their tracking feature. Insure things and pack them well. UPS is the way I would go for big things. USPS for smal things.

Talon, you will love the RC-18s with a brushless. Compared to stock they're on steroids. I have both an 18t and an 18r. Both are brushless. For you're indoor racer, you might want to go with the carbon fiber chassis conversion. I have one on my 18r and it is very light and stiff.

Thanks for stopping by Hamz......yea my next one is the 18R......brushless/carbon fiber for sure. These are a blast!!!!
