I would not go bigger then a 10.5 in these old trans even though they are pretty much the same as a b4/t4 one, if u plan on going brushless I would get the cvd's for sc10 and convert it over or your going to snap them them old drive shafts
 
Hey guys I'm new to this site and getting back into the hobby, this is crazy because I just dug out my early 90s associated RC10T, it's 100% stock even has the mechanical speed controller. So just to confirm you said this truck can handle brushless power below 4900kv or are you gona stay brushed?


according to associated, they said it should up to 4900kv. I got a 8.5T 4000kv EZ Run system....cheap from hobbypartz.com

Okay I see that deal on their site, If I were to buy the same type of deal is that all I need to install on the truck and she's good to go? I'd probably go 10.5 or smaller tho. Thanks for your input I have a lot of learning to do with this hobby:\

havent ran it yet...will run this weekend
