RC10GT vs. RC10DS

i just got a gt with the flat chassis but i was noticing the old tub chassis for the gt look a lot like the one for my ds but I've only seen pics of the gt's tub chassis. are they the same? what are the pros and cons of the tub and flat chassis for the gt? I'm kinda thinking about putting the tub on the gt just for fun.....
