I just bought a Rc10 on ebay. Its a RC10 gt Plus what does the Plus mean  .Is there something different compared to a regular Rc10 and is it better or worse or the same. This is my first stadium truck and I want to know everything about it :)!! Also do these trucks have 2 speed trannys? Thats it for now but I know I will have a million more lol thanks.

The difference between the Plus and the other is it is 1/4" longer chassis. It also has a different radio and nose tube mounts. I know my GT like the back of my hand... let me know if you have any probs or need to know more.

It only has a single speed tranny as well.

It also has bearings instead of bushings .. look here for any GT info you might need .. some good guys on there.........
GT forum

Thanks guys :) .21Rc10GT I knew you would know something on this subject lol. By the way what is a nose tube mount?? So the RC10 wont top out very fast since it only has a one speed tranny? It should be able to woop on my .15 T-maxx though right???? I should be getting my truck in the next couple days I'm so excited like a little kid at Christmas :)

Jesse, I know GT's very well too, since i've been maintaining my wife's for 3 years. I too can help you out, plus I live right down the road from you! LOL Oh, and truct me, that GT should whoop up on the T-Maxx. ;)

These are nose tube mounts. http://www.rc10.com/enlarge/7314.htm

Hey DirtRacinFool nice to hear from you :) I know that you know about these trucks :). I seen your wifes and wanted one since then :).

They guy I bought the truck from told me he is also sending another set of wheels and a bunch of small parts for it. It also had rmp front arms and a Metal spur gear which I've heard is hard on the cb and other parts so I might change that out to a plastic one.

yea i would suggest going to the plastic spur and I've owned my GT for awhile and like it alot!

Yeah, i forgot about the bearings. If you are running the clutch bell that came with the metal spur, then its fine, dont change it out, unless you want more speed. It should walk all over your maxx. A 2-speed just lets the thing get up to speed faster... I have been looking for a 2-speed for the GT for a long time, and havent found one. I would suggest picking up some e-clips because those get lost all the time, and it is nice to have extra. I would also pick up a screw kit... It nice to have extra of those too.

Instead of driving yourself crazy with e-clips get this nice little hop-up

Get it here!!

Con you do that with hinge pins? I dont think so... so just get some extra e-clips.. like i said... I personally havent had a problem with my engine e-clips, so i dont mind them.

What are you running? that junk AE .15? If you get something with some real power your gonna need this or waste cash buying e-clips all the time ..
Try racing with the e-clips..... you don't want to be taking out of a race over a stupid e-clip.. so like i said get this and don't worry about it

The T4/B4 kit is a nice thing to get .. helps with the truck in corners and and the straight.. if you don't want to order from him you can get all the parts from your lhs.. just look on the forum and look under set-ups and you should find the thread with the parts list.. but it comes to just about the same price ether way

yup good luck with ur GT I'm sure you'll love it, and by the way i think instead of that entire widening kit Ae just came out with some longer front axles which is simpler but the rear is still a good idea to do what mel is talkin about.

longer front axles may make the scrub line to wide. which will effect the way the truck turns ...
BUt hey what do i know .. AE has a R&D team so i think they would know more then ilol

Loser.. same Loser from the GT forum?

Thanks for all the imput guys :) I'm not going to be racing it, just going to be bashing with it. I will keep in mind all of the suggestions. I just can't wait to much longer for it to get here lol!

Bashing ... get anything RPM for it then . well worth the money .. they can take a beating and keep on going

I can vouch for the RPM stuff as well... Everything you can buy in RPM, get it, it is worth it. I would also say some titanium turnbuckles... I broke every one of my stock ones...

Yeah I have already checked out rpm parts for it, I can't believe how cheap you can get them for it on ebay. I have rmp on my T-Maxx and I know how tuff they are :). I want to stay completely away from aluminum on the RC10. I want it to be light as possible.
