Monkey and I raced at the 1st Annual RC Supercross that was part of the Clark County Fair in Springfield, OH. The event was organized by Panther Tire (Dave Kingston) and Fastraxx Hobbies (Kenny Rice) and the track layout was done by none other than Mr Steve King who's known all over for his totally off the hook layouts that always include BIG AIR. The event was really to gain some exposure for RC racing and that it did. I would say at any one time there was anywhere from 60-80 people in the stands and at one point Kenny's wife counted over 200. Air time on the big jumps was 3-4 seconds and when I dropped back from 2nd to fourth in the B main with 1:30 to go I nailed a perfect backflip! The pics in the link were taken by another friend of mine. I'll find the you tube video someone else took. Enjoy:

HA! ROAR HATER! For the record, I suggested the hat!

Had an awesome time, as usual, with the Jet! He solved a chronic problem with my rear bones slipping out and pitted for me, which didn't require a lot of effort since I had several issues throughout the day (like a damn wheel coming off in my main).

Could not have asked for a better day for racing, though. Low 80's and zero humidity! Race was ran smooth as silk (until the printer ran out of ink) but with an abundance of "fair food" and great company like Jet, couldn't have been better!

To be honest, Jet was running awesome all day! He was 2nd in his main with a chance to bump to the AAA mains when he was taken out. I can vouch for the backwards flip, too! He nailed it when he knew he was out and the crowd did indeed go wild!

I'll be heading out to Indy here soon to race at Jet's home track. He's heading to round 2 of the Pro Series this weekend, and I'm sure he'll tear it up there!

Thanks Jet, had a blast!

Great video. Sick track...looks like a lot of fun.

I'm working on the truck nats next month, should know after this weekend if we will be able to pull it off. Anyway, the Roar Hater hat will be coming with me to the ROAR Off-road Fuel Truck Nationals! LOL

We ended up getting home about 1:15, Rae was asleep before we hit the interstate!

Thanks Sky, the whole day was great, wx, company and promotion of the sport!
