Just saw a post on Reddit that Francis at RC Review had his channel deleted by YouTube. This is a solid channel and the guy could use the support of the community.
Check out his new video here that explains the Situation.
You can search RC Review on YouTube and there is a new channel with the old name.

That's gotta be hard to take seeing all that work disappear. Going to be hard to get all of his followers back up to previous numbers. I know it really smarts when your site is monetized.

Ya, i imagine it was quite a shock to find all that content just…gone off the net.
One thing I always liked about the guy was his positivity, and enthusiasm! He has 1400 more subs yesterday than today, so the rebuild is well underway.

That's why that brush vs brushless video disappeared. I paused it and when I went back to finish it was gone. That sucks.

To be fair, it was Google's email that was cleaning house. They have sent out numerous warnings to back up content if you haven't used the account in a while. they were deleting old accounts. It's easy to see these notices and forget you have stuff linked to accounts you haven't used in a while. A simple oops on RC Review's end, nothing nefarious on Ebay or Google's end of things.

I agree with this. 👆
In the interest of (lost) money, income on both parties IS being lost. A check system to not shut down an active account that is still bringing in a paycheck also seems like a smart idea. 😉

Just bad luck for sure. I don’t think he had access to the original account that started the channel; if I’m understanding his explanation correctly.
As of this morning he’s close to 5k subs on the new channel….

Francis, the owner of the popular RC Review Youtube channel, has had to start an entirely new channel. I noticed a couple of days ago, that his entire channel was missing, the channel, all of the videos, everything, gone. I didn't understand what had happened. But, he just released a video, from his new channel, explaining everything. A really sad thing, because that channel was his sole means of income. Francis was always interacting with the community, and his passion and excitement for the hobby we all love so much, showed in each video, and it was infectious. You always knew that whatever Francis was telling you in his videos, it was always an honest review, it was truly how he felt about an item, or a topic, all regarding the hobby of RC.

So, while he is trying to recover his channel, for anyone who enjoyed his past videos, this is the video, from his new channel, in which he explains what has happened:

Hey guys, if you were a subscriber of RC Review, you'll have to re-subscribe to get notifications of new videos, as YouTube deleted his channel. He's had to start over again. He lost it all. 1000's of videos gone. 6 years of uploading RC content is gone. It must be heartbreaking for him. He's only got about 4 videos now. Let's help him out and give him back his subscribers and show him what a great community this hobby is.
