Well does anybody have any experiencewith these and how are they. I like them because they have a shock moutn built righ into it so no more of those goofy shock screws. I've been blowing out rear shock towers left and right praticing front/back flips of of some big jumps I've made and after about 8-10 broken stock towers I'm getting sick of it and want to invest in some nice Alum. towers.

I say

[move]:sheep: order them:sheep: [/move]

Cheers

I say don't. YOu have no idea how easy those things will bend. I bought integy's and they looked like a damn pretzel after one bad cartwheeling wreck.

Maybe you should give RPM a try. They are so flexible that I would venture to say damn near unbreakable. Also, they are cheaper and you get a lifetime warrenty if you do happen to break one.

I'm currently running the TOP Shock towers on my .21 Maxx with no problems... They are basically rebadged RC Raven towers... The trick is, to use stock plastic body posts with the Al. Towers. This takes away the stress on the towers... RPM is definately another great option, but your kinda stuck paying alot for replacement posts when you grind em down from bashin... Just something to think about...

Good point... hadn't thought of that.

But if you figure in the fact that by the time you wear off your body mount posts, you probably would have broken at least 4-6 shock towers... so in the end, you still only pay half as much.

Truthfully, If I were to do it again, I would buy the Hardcore or UE knuckleheads, & use the stock posts with them. After I posted earlier, I remembered that I did in fact twist the hell out of my rear tower at the Winter Bash... whoops
The RPM posts grind down just as fast as the stock posts....

i thoguh about going with RPM but then i figured id just start busting tanks left and right so I'm gunna go with some alum towers just have to figure out witch ones that are not rediculously(SP?) priced

Well, your right with the breaking of gas tanks... I forgot about that. I broke 7 tanks before I realized it was my rear shock tower smashing the damn thing. But, I only had the RPM shock tower on there for the last tank. It was just more obvious as to what it was doing.

I wouldn't suggest integy's. Theirs bends like a noodle. I had my integy shock tower on my 21 maxx for about 3 different runs and bent it pretty bad each time.

You could do a tank mod and replace the stocker with a buggy tank which means you have to move crap around, but it frees up space in the rear. Then you could use the RPM shock tower in the rear.

I would at least recommend using the RPM on the front.

I would recommend against using RPM shock towers...if you are a basher or like to catch major air. For racing applications, they seem to be okay.

Flexible shock towers defeats the purpose of your shocks by not giving them a solid frame to function off of. Every time they flex, you get the opportunity to bend a shock shaft, crack a fuel tank, or who knows what else.

Not to knock RPM towers or their products, but when it comes to needing a solid structure...their material is too flexible. I'd suggest spending some money on a decent set of aluminum towers. I used HardCore Racing towers and stock body posts. I never bent a tower, but worked my way through three or four sets of posts.

I'm likeing the UE ones they also have the shock mount feature on them and more postions on them than the RC Raven ones and most of all the UE durability and they are both pretty much the same price.
