There arent to many. I've periodically browsed RCCarAction magazine before but its not a real great magazine. Every once in awhile they have something interesting to read but I lost almost all interest in the magazine when 2 of the top 3 best RCs of 2011 Where the 2WD and 4WD Slashes. Some Traxxas fans might hate me for saying this but 4WD slash the best RC car of 2011? Srsly?....and the 2WD slash is the 3rd best? I felt like someone was jerkin their gerkin when I read that.

I can't remember the new E-zine that started up after the other magazine when out of business what was it some guys from Extreme RC started it or something? IDK I read a few of their articles they had online and it seemed alot less mainstream than RCCA does.

I think the biggest reason behind that is because Traxxas is throwing their weight around big time with money and sponsorships. I've talked to a couple lhs owners, and Traxxas does everything they can to make their product seen on the shelves more than any other brand. At the lhs I race at, the owner says 75% of the rigs he sells are variations of the Slash, and 90% of those he never sees again, other than the owners coming back in to buy parts.

Another point to make, when Traxxas hosts the Torc Series Off-Road races, they'll have RC races also, but ONLY Traxxas products. When we had the Traxxas Shootout last year at the lhs track, the best prizes were for the Slash classes, not the open classes.

If HPI, Losi, or Associated did that, you might see more diversity. Or people would bitch because they were doing it. There's a reason some people despise Traxxas. If they'd back off a bit, it wouldn't be such an issue.

You definatly have a point there...and that exactly why I dont like RCCA that much...Alot of their reviews are biased and you dont get the truth. The best place for unbaised reviews is either Squirel TV on youtube and URC on youtube. Thos guys give reviews of products that they are "in bed" with. RCCA does have some other interesting articles though from time to time.

The problem with magazines is I never read them. When I get a subscription I basically don't read the issues.
