Help me. I've fallen and I can't get up.
My back popped a week ago. I'm just making a cameo appearance to make sure no one is missing.
RC Addict was found behind the pony stable. He appeared shaken, but not stirred. He's in stable condition.

Hey fellas! I am doing as well as I can be. Thanks for the thoughts!
My absence was three-fold. Partly I was on a vacation from work. Part is what Josh said: Things were getting a little out of hand here and I thought it best that I take a break before one was handed to me. Third, I wrecked my horse as Charlie stated.
So how does one wreck a horse? Not so gracefully I assure you! I bought a new saddle just before vacation. I got it on the 3rd and took it down to fit it on the 4th. We were going to have to punch a bunch of new holes to fit the girth strap to my mare and the stirrups to me. So, we just chinched her up as tight as we could without the holes and I climbed aboard. Doll was a little twitchy with the new rigging and I was downright uncomfortable. If you have seen her picture you know she is a narrow mare being a thoroughbred. I had the wrong pad on her and the saddle was squirming all over the place.
So anyway, we go off riding the round-pen counter-clockwise. She is damn near pushing me into the fence so I pull her away. I feel her tensing up and getting ready to bolt so I gather her up (sit back in the seat and pull up on the reigns just a bit) while I say "Easy Doll". Well, my damn healer hears that and thinks she needs to come correct the horse. Next thing I know she is under Doll, whom starts bucking. She turns toward the middle of the round-pen, which is about 60' in diameter. Well, I have a decision to make. I can try to ride it out but one of two things will happen: 1) I will go over her head and get trampled, or 2) She is gonna get to the other rail and throw me into the fence. So I bail off her. Two broken ribs later I am here, trying to heal. Gonna be a month before I am gonna be much better.
The pain is, well, a pain. Not a lot you can do. I have a compression belt and some Motrin. Just trying to take it easy, but that is hard to do and drive an 18!
So I am back. Gonna ease back into things slowly so that I might keep from getting another infraction on my otherwise stellar record here at RCNT. I have to admit one thing: I did miss you guys!

I can't take anything stronger because to do so is to loose my safety clearance. Then I would have to go home to heal then re-certify my physical to get re-hired. Since my company has a hiring freeze I would be out of a job. Sucks, but it is the game I must play.
Course we are talking 800mg Motrin here...

Wow! That sucks!
Busted ribs are nothing but a nuisance. Can't breath, can't sleep, can't bend... Glad you didn't get busted up more than you did!
