Aluminum is a metal,the parts are alloy.Never pure alu,pure alu is way too soft and bends too easy.

So the parts you will find are all "metallic".

Steel would be impractical for its weight penality would be hard to overcome.

Steel hardened parts are best used in diffs and gears where maximum durability is a must and where alu parts would bend and weardown too fast.
