I had a os max cv engine 2 years ago, burnt out so i put the stock engine back in, the associated .15 sucks. Now I need a new engine, I was thinking a OS .12 TR /w rotary carb. With 1.1 hp thats double my cv, which means it should haul. Is this a wise decision or what other engines should I get? Thanks

Damon

O yea i would like it to be ROAR legal

Both are great choices. I personally like the OS .15cv-rx. I have the nonpull version in my ntc3. Hauls ass even when rich. Gotta lean her out a little bit more. Regardless, both are great choices.

Great thing about the RC10 GT is that it doesn't take much to get that thing up to light speed. Those things can be a handful being 2WD. The power-to-weight ratio is awesome.

Yeah I agree with the above, on the track a OS .12 CV-R is more than enough ponies to get you up to light speed. On my local track www.capitalrc.com you can do wheelies on command and I never even get into the throttle more than half way because even at 1hp the engine has more than enough power to whip its ass all over the track.

1hp will be plenty even for slightly larger tracks like www.deltarc.com you may need to step up the clutch bell to 17 teeth from 15 and you should be set with some good top speed and plenty of torque.
