I have just come back from the track and whilst down there, it appeared my engine was leaing fuel from either the casing or the head. I took the head of the engine, which was definately screwed down correctly and could see nothing wrong. There was a large amount of fuel down the side of the engine and it had also made its way onto the battery box, which was worrying. After putting the head back in, it still seems to be leaking from somewhere, but i can't figure out where. It is not coming from the carb or the fuel pipe, that is for sure.

Any advice?

If you grab your carb and are able to turn it some what freely to left and right, You may just need to tighten it,, this happend to me ,the only place after your fuel line that you could be leaking fuel would be the carb or head,, take your carb out and see if you have a bad O ring or a sleeve gasket, if the car sat for a while, these may have dried out a little and didnt start leaking till you started putting fuel in again

I had a similar problme after cleaning my engine one day. I never put the shim back in between the head and the engine. Once I put it back it was fine.
